What is this Standard I keep talking about?
The Standard is the written description of the ideal Westie, and it is what serious breeders try to more carefully match with each generation. If we did not work to keep to the Standard when we produce each generation of Westies, the dogs would eventually stop looking and acting much like the Westies we love and cherish.
